QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience with offline programming using PowerMill
  • Strong understanding of macro programming to automate and streamline machining processes
  • Proficient in creating and optimizing toolpaths for complex parts
  • Experience in the plastic injection mold and/or die mold industries is an asset
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize PowerMill toolpaths for CNC machining operations
  • Create accurate, efficient, and effective programs based on customer specifications and design models
  • Utilize macro programming to automate repetitive tasks and enhance program efficiency
  • Collaborate with CNC operators and production teams to ensure proper implementation of toolpaths
  • Perform post-processing and ensure that programs are compatible with CNC machines
  • Analyze and troubleshoot programming issues to improve machining efficiency and reduce errors
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all programs and revisions
  • Report to the Programming Leader, providing updates on programming progress and challenges
  • Assist in training junior programmers and CNC operators on best practices and software use
  • Continuously seek improvements in programming strategies and machining processes
