EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience in Technical, Asset Management, or Commercial Procurement within an Airline, MRO, Leasing company, or similar field/industry desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA, FAA, and CAA regulations, including Part M, Part 145, and airworthiness record-keeping.
  • Aerospace industry experience, ideally in a technical environment with an understanding of quality systems.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and Turbo Fan engine life cycle.
  • Confident in technical-commercial negotiations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong analytical and data accuracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Powerplant Engineer to join our Technical Department on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the SVP Technical, you will play a pivotal role in technical workscoping and engineering activities within AerFin’s MRO. This position supports both internal and third-party requirements, ensuring exceptional service quality and technical excellence.
This is an office-based role with occasional international travel to conferences. We’re looking for an aviation professional with experience in Technical, Asset Management, or Commercial Procurement (or a similar field) who has strong communication skills and excels in relationship management. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess engine condition and define workscopes for MRO execution.
  • Provide technical expertise for engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, working closely with Engine Technicians.
  • Work with customers and the Customer Program Manager to ensure workscopes are clear and accurate.
  • Maintain records and documentation as per company and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure the right parts are available for maintenance or repairs.
  • Manage OEM deviation requests, task cards, and create outgoing engine documentation.
  • Utilise in-house inventory and production management software.
  • Collaborate with the Engine MRO and Customer Programs Managers to meet project needs
  • Liaise with multiple departments to fulfill the requirement of the project & workscope.
  • Support the Technical team in due diligence tasks
  • Regularly review and improve processes to enhance MRO operations.
  • Review new OEM information with the team, update workflows, and apply any necessary regulatory or OEM changes.
  • Assist in evaluating and setting up new capabilities for the MRO/engine shop.
