MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE To provide technical expertise to the airline for its Continued Airworthiness and Engineering Services activities on its Boeing 737 fleet equipped with CFM56-7B, LEAP-1B and 131-9B model of engines (Powerplants) ensuring the safe and efficient operation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Processes Continued Airworthiness and Engineering tasks including health and performance monitoring of the Powerplants. Supports the airline's collaboration with relevant Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) for defect analysis to drive product reliability and performance improvements. Assesses and prepares all instructions for Continued Airworthiness and recommendations issued by the certificate holders for the flydubai operated Powerplants. Represents the airline during industry Technical Review Meetings, Working Together Team and conferences. Evaluates in-service issues surrounding the operated Powerplants and proposes commercially viable technical solutions in accordance with flydubai's reliability program management team. Helps the development and enhancement of the engine maintenance program, company's technical requirements, existing agreements and targets. Improves the aircraft Approved Maintenance Programme in accordance with relevant OEM instructions and fleet experience making sure the Powerplants are maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner. Collaborate closely with internal engineering team, manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to address technical issues, investigate incidents, and facilitate the implementation of engineering changes or modifications. Maintains an industry standard engine full life database including operational, modification and airworthiness information. Prepares the Powerplants engine removal planning to optimize the time on-wing in respect to the maintenance and leasing agreements. Reviews workscopes necessary to induct engines into Maintenance Repair Organisations including the ad-hoc parts replacements, repair deviations and concessions. Liaise with aircraft and engine owners for the necessary transactions needed during the lease period and life cycle of the Powerplants including technical acceptance of new leases. Provides assistance in the preparation of short term and long-term shop visit budget forecast for internal stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Fluent in English Minimum of 5 years working in airline operations within its engineering department, handling at least one of the engine types operated by flydubai. Use of IT systems including OEM tools for engine health diagnostics.
