Description
Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cells. Develop new and innovative techniques to continuously improve quality, reduce cost, meet program timing, and improve calibration efficiency. Support interface meetings to ensure proper alignment between hardware, calibration, and program targets. Support the use of the latest calibration tools and methods (GTDM, eKPIs, DYNOCAL, etc.). Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Michigan. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration. 1+ years' experience with one or more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB. In-depth background and knowledge of the powertrain calibration development process. Proficient in powertrain controls software use and development. Proficient in powertrain calibration and systems interactions (engine, transmission, mapping/PTDyno, fuel economy, emissions, drivability, OBD, etc). Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or similar engineer degree. 2+ years experience in Ford Powertrain Calibration with knowledge of current gas or hybrid ICE calibration processes and software. Strong understanding and experience with Accurate Technologies, Inc. (ATI), or similar, testing and data acquisition tools and software. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Ability to multi-task. Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills. Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in Ford+ behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
