Inside the Role Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June. The Product Validation Engineering (PVE) vehicle integration department is responsible for sub-system and full vehicle electrical and electronic validation of DTNA products. This includes our Freightliner, Western Star, Medium Duty and Electrical Vehicles platforms. Our validation is conducted in workshops, over the road, and at offsite testing facilities in Madras. The Powertrain E/E Integration team within PVE specifically focuses on validating engine, transmission, chassis and axle software features and functions on our vehicles. Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability. Design an in-vehicle measurement display to enable easier and safer testing over the the road. Perform vehicle integration validation for vehicle software features. Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities within the vehicle integration test department. Perform troubleshooting activities during vehicle preparation phase to ensure our test platforms are ready for validation. Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs Knowledge You Should Bring Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June) Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks on hand. Ability to work with vehicle based measurement systems and logging devices.
