Base Location: Leeds based (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Driving technology delivery for big brands and public bodies to enable exciting, strategic transformations, alongside industry leading engineering capability and consulting professionals
  • Working across the technology stack from cloud and application delivery to ERP transformations and from design all the way to delivery, to help build capability that our clients need in the way they need it
  • Leading cross-capability teams of specialists from engineering, data, cyber and delivery to ensure effective and efficient delivery of capability
  • Being accountable for the governance, controls and management of tasks, reporting, risks, issues, dependencies, prioritisation, processes, stakeholder engagement, costings and funding
  • Leading delivery of one or more workstreams within a complex programme of work
  • Providing management and allocation of local resources

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO DO IT?

  • Extensive experience of successfully managing complex technology projects in a commercial environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work across a full project lifecycle (co-ordinating tasks and activities, managing to deadlines, anticipating challenges, difficulties and pressure points). This also includes experience of integrating into wider project or organisation governance cycles
  • Experience in designing and embedding leading Project Management/PMO practice within complex change environments
  • A natural interest in technology and passionate about technology enabled change
  • Demonstrable experience of applying project/programme management methodologies in complex delivery and stakeholder environments
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • An ability to develop relationships both internally and with clients at a senior level
  • High energy levels, coupled with a desire to deliver to a high standard in tight timeframes
  • A self-motivating mindset and also to be able to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to coach and guide other team members relating to every aspect of the programme and/or project so that the team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently
  • Confidence in dealing with complexity and ambiguity - setting direction and engaging stakeholders
  • Experience of identifying and mitigating delivery risks, as well as leading the resolution of issues / blockers
  • Experience in managing third party vendors and providers
  • Holding accreditation within waterfall / agile project management delivery (e.g. Prince 2, MSP, APM, SAFe Agile, Certified Scrum Master)
  • Strong experience in the use of project management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA)
