Job Family Description
Mission Analysts utilize multiple intelligence disciplines to support the operational success of the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. Professionals in these roles are responsible for conducting continuous all-source intelligence assessments for topics that could impact critical mission areas and synthesize these into actionable analyses of these mission programs, facilities, and equipment in key mission facilities against an ever-changing threat environment. Personnel are expected to harness their training and experience in varying intelligence disciplines to identify and assess subversion risks against current/future threats. They assure Nuclear Weapon production and nuclear material processing capabilities are not subverted through the development and maintenance of threat assessments, risk models, and mitigation strategies.
Discipline Description
Intelligence analyst personnel analyze, assimilate, and evaluate relevant intelligence information critical to the successful execution of SRS missions, especially those related to national security and nuclear weapon stockpile maintenance. They ensure intelligence information is assessed and integrated into the security programs that protect government information, nuclear weapon production capabilities, and other critical mission areas.

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC. is the management and operations contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS). Established in 1950, SRS is a core contributor to the nation’s strategic nuclear deterrent, nuclear materials management, and remediation programs. NNSA has established the Nuclear Enterprise Assurance (NEA) program to manage and mitigate subversion risks to the integrity and resilience of nuclear weapons, their components, and supply chains. This position supports the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility and the SRS pit production mission. Duties for this position include: Investigating emerging issues, anomalies, and alerts from threat detection, supply chain, and production operations Coordinating initiatives with NNSA Counterintelligence office, cyber security, vulnerability assessment, production engineers and operations Participating with a risk mitigation team to reduce exposure to subversion risks by developing design changes, controls, or procedures Providing threat, vulnerability, and consequence analysis for informed decision-making
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Investigations, Counterintelligence or a related field; advanced degrees preferred. •Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, Counterintelligence Course, Federal Law Enforcement Academy or similar). • Experience in OT and IT security assessments and risk management. • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, penetration testing, and cyber forensics 1. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements associated with OT environments. •Ability to think like an adversary with a proactive security mindset.”
