Whytematter Staffing Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced PR Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a proactive communications professional who can manage client relationships, deliver strategic PR campaigns, and support new business growth. You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing strategic PR and reputation management support while working closely with the wider agency team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of client accounts, develop innovative PR campaigns, and contribute to agency growth. Key Responsibilities Client Management & Strategy Manage and develop a portfolio of PR and integrated communications clients Act as primary day-to-day client contact, building strong and trusted relationships Lead the planning and delivery of strategic PR and communications campaigns Develop annual, quarterly and project-based client plans, including KPIs and timelines Provide strategic advice on communications, reputation management and issues handling Media Relations & Content Develop and maintain strong media relationships Identify creative PR opportunities and secure media coverage Draft press releases, media materials and client communications Manage press office activity and media enquiries Stay up to date with industry trends and media landscape New Business & Agency Growth Support new business development and identify growth opportunities Contribute to pitch preparation and tender submissions Help expand existing client accounts and services Account & Financial Management Manage client budgets and forecasting Prepare client estimates and monitor project spend Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures Team Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with PR team and wider agency departments Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate Coordinate work across consultancy, creative, design and media teams Additional Responsibilities Support client events, including occasional evenings or weekends Represent the agency professionally and uphold company values Undertake ad-hoc projects as required Skills & Experience Proven experience in PR, communications or agency environment Strong media relations and content writing skills Excellent client management and communication skills Experience managing budgets and multiple projects Strategic thinker with strong organisational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team What We Offer Competitive salary Career development opportunities Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to work with diverse clients and sectors
