REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree optional but a plus) in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in public relations and marketing with a strong focus on B2B PR and communications
  • Experience in utility or energy-related marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Interested in Corporate Social Responsibility (previous experience optional but highly welcome)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation (e.g. writing press releases, speeches, articles, etc.)
  • Proficiency in PR tools and platforms (e.g., media monitoring tools, press release distribution platforms).
  • Strong understanding of social media channels and their role in PR strategy to leverage them effectively.
  • Experience with crisis communications and managing brand reputation.
  • Strategic thinking and project management skills: ability to plan and execute long-term PR strategies, while also managing day-to-day operations.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to assess the effectiveness of PR campaigns using quantitative data. (e.g., reach, impressions, engagement). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and transform insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating in a local, regional and global environment.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional European language (mother tongue level).
Responsibilities

OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE – HOW YOU WILL HELP US:

The PR and Utility Marketing Manager is a key strategic role that combines the responsibilities of managing public relations and driving marketing efforts within the utility segment. On the PR side, this role is responsible for developing and executing the company’s PR strategy to increase brand awareness, enhance brand reputation, and foster media relationships. The manager will be in charge of creating and nurturing a media network, securing speaking opportunities, and managing award submissions to ensure the company’s visibility and recognition in the industry.
Simultaneously, this position will support our expansion into the utility sector by driving marketing efforts specifically targeted at EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction companies) and investors. The PR and Utility Marketing Manager will work closely with local marketeers to enhance market penetration, build strong relationships in the utility space, and raise awareness of our solar solutions. This dual focus allows the role to leverage PR initiatives to facilitate entry and growth within the utility market, while ensuring consistent and effective communication across all business segments.
This position belongs to Central Solplanet Marketing team and thus has a global scope and coordinating function. This role reports to the Solplanet Marketing Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PR Strategy & Implementation

  • Develop and execute the overall PR strategy to enhance brand visibility and strengthen the company’s reputation in the industry.
  • Create and manage media relations, establishing and nurturing a network of journalists, influencers, and key industry contacts.
  • Increase organic brand reach through PR campaigns, press releases, and media engagements.
  • Manage brand reputation, handling any crisis communications or issues that could impact the company’s public image.
  • Coordinate speaking opportunities at industry events, conferences, and forums, elevating the company’s presence and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with customers on joint PR activities, leveraging the partnership and showcasing to joint achievements
  • Manage award submissions, identifying relevant industry awards and coordinating entries to highlight the company’s achievements and innovations.
  • Lead the creation of advertorials and their media placement, aligning with strategic priorities in different countries to maximize reach among target audiences and ensure a strong return on investment.
  • Support and collaborate with local marketeers in the creation and implementation of local PR strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s global PR framework. This includes assisting in establishing and nurturing local media networks to enhance regional PR efforts and maximize brand visibility.

Utility Marketing Management

  • Support market penetration in the utility segment, driving brand awareness and positioning of the company’s solar solutions among EPCs, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing campaigns tailored to the utility sector to attract EPCs and investors, ensuring effective messaging and strategic targeting.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as case studies, presentations, and white papers tailored to the utility market and EPC audience.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to refine strategies and ensure the company remains competitive in the utility sector.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing activities within the utility segment, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product development, and customer support) to align PR and marketing efforts with broader business strategies.
  • Support the development of a cohesive communication plan that integrates PR and marketing efforts to drive long-term brand recognition and market share in the utility sector.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of local and global marketing initiatives, ensuring all campaigns are tailored to meet the needs of the utility sector while aligning with the company’s broader objectives.

This role will closely collaborate with:

  • HQs Marketing Team: Ensure alignment of messages all global PR initiatives based on global corporate brand and PR strategy
  • Solplanet Central Marketing Team: alignment for cohesion between content marketing, performance marketing and PR based on brand strategy and roadmap. and product launch roadmap
  • Content Marketing Team: Coordinate the consideration of PR activities in the content calendar content for wider reach leveraging own channels
  • Local Marketeers: Provide support and guidance for localized PR strategies.
  • Utility Sales and Technical Team: liaise with the global Utilities team to ensure that sales and marketing efforts are aligned, addressing successful market penetration and follow-up on leads
