Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join as PR & Communications Manager, APAC. This individual will collaborate with APAC executives, agencies, and marketing teams to deliver clear, consistent, and positive impact across key channels.
The role will lead regional communications strategies, manage budgets and processes, and drive performance against strategic goals — including brand awareness, executive visibility (e.g. media, events, presentations), and marketing initiatives (e.g. StoneX Studio).

PRIMARY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Independently manage the strategic communications strategy for APAC, aligned with marketing and business objectives
  • Own and evaluate external agency partnerships in the region
  • Develop and manage relationships between media and StoneX representatives
  • Proactively pitch the StoneX business and representatives for commentary pickup, thought leadership, and other relevant opportunities for exposure
  • Draft press materials, talking points, executive op-eds, and marketing communications
  • Train and support to StoneX representatives for various media formats
  • Provide crisis and issues management support to regional and global leadership
  • Oversee media monitoring to track news coverage and guide strategy based on positive and negative media trends
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Legal, HR, ORM and Executive teams
  • Develop frameworks for regional communications strategies, operations, standards and performance metrics, in alignment with global frameworks
  • Provide monthly impact reports on regional communications strategies
    Qualifications:

TO LAND THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency roles
  • Proven success in leading strategic communications efforts that generate measurable brand visibility within financial services
  • Deep relationships with media across APAC, including top-tier financial, business, and trade publications
  • Strong background in crisis communications, reputation management, and executive profiling
  • Ability to communicate complex financial topics across varied audiences and formats
  • Experience working in matrixed, international organizations and cross-functional teams
  • Data-driven approach to measurement and reporting
  • Comfortable operating autonomously in a lean, hands-on environment, while also contributing to long-term strategy
  • Experience integrating media outreach with broader marketing initiatives, such as thought leadership, events, and digital content
  • Flexibility to operate across time zones to support high-priority communications, as needed
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred
