REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • An Irish accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of relevant Irish experience in a small to mid-size practice
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Xero
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and reporting lines efficiently.
  • Ability to work autonomously and not be hesitant to suggest process enhancements
  • Team player with strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a confident, experienced Accountant with a strong small to medium sized practice background to join our growing team full-time. The ideal candidate will be comfortable advising and consulting directly with clients and will have experience handling a broad range of responsibilities across Bookkeeping, VAT, accounts preparation, Income Tax, Corporation Tax, CRO returns, and a solid understanding of compliance requirements across sole traders, limited companies, and personal tax.
Payroll experience (although not essential) would be an advantage.
This is a full-time position, but we’re open to hearing from exceptional part-time candidates with strong experience.
One role available.
The role can be Hybrid, Remote or Office based in line with needs of the candidate - the office is based in Balbriggan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and submission of VAT/RTD returns.
  • Using Xero to set up clients and process client bookkeeping.
  • Preparing Irish Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax Returns for Irish Ltd Companies
  • Liaising with clients to gather information, advise and resolve queries.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • CRO filings, including B1, B10 etc
  • Preparation of Income Tax returns
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Developing and enhancing internal processes, making use of latest technologies where possible
  • Working on ad hoc projects, both client related and practice related
