The Practice Administrator leads and directs the operational performance of the organization’s medical practices, ensuring efficient, high-quality care delivery aligned with organizational goals. This role is responsible for enforcing policies and procedures while fostering clear communication and active engagement among staff to support cohesive practice operations. The administrator oversees daily functions, including staffing, workflow optimization, practice growth, service excellence, and financial management. With full accountability for both operational effectiveness and financial outcomes, this role drives continuous improvement and ensures the practices consistently meet performance, quality, and patient satisfaction targets. Key Relationships Reports to: Executive Director-Community Medicine Specialty Care Candidate Qualifications Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies. * Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field required; Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred * 7–10 years of experience as a healthcare professional * Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in an ambulatory care setting * 3–5 years of concurrent management experience overseeing physician practice operations * Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, practice management, basic accounting/finance, and healthcare regulations/legislation * Familiarity with benchmarking methodologies and best practice research * Proficiency in computer systems and standard applications * Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed   Indiana University Health is unlike any other healthcare system and we're looking for team members who share the things that matter most to us.
