Knowledge: Knowledge of current key developments within Endoscopy and wider healthcare issues Advanced knowledge of current, evidence based perioperative practice commensurate with your job role. Knowledge of the Trusts aims & objectives, policies, principles, and standards in respect of both patient care and personnel management. Knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk Management within the Endoscopy Department. Training: Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council with appropriate teaching/assessing qualification.
With three years post registration experience including 1 year in an Endoscopy specialty. University validated post registration specialist qualification relevant to area of practice or equivalent. University validated teaching and assessing qualification. Experience: Substantial post registration experienceEvidence of supporting learners in the relevant practice setting, including the management of failing students / performance management.
Proven ability to lead a team. Proven ability to work independently and using your own initiative, including project management. Skills: Must demonstrate expertise in relevant area of practice and be able to maintain own clinical practice.- Excellent facilitation / teaching / assessing skills.- Ability to demonstrate leadership within a multi-disciplinary team.- Ability to organise own work schedules, meet targets and devise objectives.- Ability to manage projects and implement change.- Ability to facilitate meetings.- Demonstrate flexibility and positive attitude in all areas of responsibility.- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills.- Able to act as a professional role model.- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office
