Description The Practice Director of Network and Cybersecurity serves as the senior leader responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and execution of Arraya’s networking and cybersecurity portfolios. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, overseeing both presales solution architects and delivery engineering teams to ensure successful outcomes from design through implementation. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Practice Director drives profitability, operational maturity, and customer satisfaction. They collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and vendor partners to define go-to-market strategies, evolve managed and professional services offerings, and ensure alignment with frameworks such as Zero Trust, SASE, NIST, and CIS Controls. The ideal candidate brings robust enterprise networking experience, a strategic understanding of cybersecurity (including governance, compliance, and advanced threat protection) and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams that deliver secure, scalable infrastructure solutions. Supervisory Responsibilities: · Recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff. · Oversee daily departmental operations. · Conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy · Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Networking and Cybersecurity practices. · Lead, mentor, and grow presales and delivery engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and a culture of accountability. · Establish and manage KPIs to achieve utilization, revenue, and gross margin targets. · Partner with executive leadership to shape service offerings, go-to-market plans, and vendor relationships. Cybersecurity Practice Management · Serve as the executive owner for Arraya’s cybersecurity portfolio, covering identity, endpoint, network, cloud security, and secure access. · Guide the development of service offerings aligned with industry frameworks (Zero Trust, SASE, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, SOC 2). · Maintain strong technical expertise in platforms such as Cisco Secure, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and other OEM solutions. · Act as a senior technical authority and escalation point for major cybersecurity engagements and compliance-driven initiatives. Presales & Solution Architecture · Oversee the solution architecture team delivering scalable, secure, and cost-effective designs for enterprise networking and security. · Support complex pre-sales efforts including customer workshops, RFPs, and executive-level presentations. · Foster cross-practice collaboration to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions. Delivery & Operational Excellence · Ensure consistent delivery quality across all engagements through repeatable processes and best practices. · Manage engineering resource planning, onboarding, and capacity optimization to meet project demands. · Partner with the PMO to strengthen project governance, documentation, and delivery handoffs. · Serve as an escalation point for critical client engagements and technical issues. Inside Sales Engineering (ISE) Oversight · Lead the ISE team, ensuring technical alignment with sales strategy and customer requirements. · Develop training plans to maintain proficiency in Cisco, Meraki, and related technologies. · Track performance metrics include responsiveness, conversion rates, and quality of presales outputs. Technology & Vendor Management · Maintain and strengthen partnerships with key OEMs (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.) to ensure compliance with certifications, rebates, and partner programs. · Guide technology roadmaps and training initiatives to stay ahead of emerging trends including Zero Trust, SD-WAN, and AI-driven operations. Requirements · 10+ years of experience in IT networking or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership or practice management role. · Strong presales and customer-facing engineering experience, preferably at a Cisco partner, VAR, or MSP. · Deep technical knowledge of Cisco enterprise networking (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki) and core security frameworks (SASE, Zero Trust, NGFW). · Solid understanding of compliance standards including NIST 800-53, SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. · Proven experience managing both pre-sales and delivery engineering teams. · Strategic financial understanding, including P&L, forecasting, and reporting. · Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred: · Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) · Fortinet NSE 4 or higher · Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks solutions · Experience in cybersecurity SOC environments · Exposure to Cisco collaboration tools (Webex Cloud Calling, Contact Center)
