Title: Practice Lead – AI – Teknosys Level: L3 Location: Islamabad Last Date to Apply: 16th April 2026 What does a Practice Lead – AI do? The Practice Lead – AI is a senior individual contributor responsible for the AI technical strategy and capability development across the entire Data Science practice at Teknosys. This role owns the AI roadmap — covering Generative AI, LLM-powered applications, and frontier AI systems — and ensures consistent excellence in how the team designs, builds, and governs AI solutions across Jazz. Like the Practice Lead – Data Science, this role leads entirely through deep technical authority and influence rather than direct management. The Practice Lead – AI is the team's foremost expert on emerging AI technologies and is accountable for ensuring the practice stays at the forefront of AI innovation while maintaining rigorous standards for responsible deployment. • Define and drive the AI strategy and technical roadmap for the entire Data Science practice, aligning AI initiatives with Jazz's broader digital transformation goals • Lead the end-to-end development of enterprise AI platforms, Generative AI solutions, and production-grade LLM-powered applications — ensuring architectural consistency across all AI projects • Architect and provide oversight on delivery of RAG-based systems (LangChain, LlamaIndex), Agentic AI applications, and other frontier AI solutions across the practice • Evaluate, prototype, and introduce emerging AI models and frameworks — including open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon) and closed-source APIs (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) — to identify highest-value applications • Guide the adoption of prompt engineering, fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA), and RLHF techniques to optimize LLM performance for Jazz-specific use cases • Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, reliable AI infrastructure leveraging cloud services (AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) • Establish and maintain best practices and quality standards for AI development, evaluation, and responsible deployment — including bias assessment, model governance, and risk controls — applicable across all AI workstreams • Actively mentor junior, associate, and mid-level data scientists on AI initiatives — through structured knowledge sessions, architectural reviews, and hands-on project collaboration • Review AI architectures across the practice and provide technical input on model selection, fine-tuning strategies, and system design decisions • Represent AI capabilities at senior cross-functional forums and contribute to long-term AI strategy discussions with leadership What are we looking for and what does it require to be the Practice Lead – AI? • 8+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics • Deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise AI system design • Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise AI systems at scale in production environments • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications including RAG pipelines (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and Agentic AI workflows • Practical knowledge of LLM fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA, RLHF) and prompt engineering best practices • Strong understanding of cloud AI infrastructure and MLOps practices, preferably on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda) • Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks, responsible AI principles, and model governance standards • Demonstrated ability to set AI technical direction and drive adoption across a practice without direct authority • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and translating AI capabilities into business value Behavioural & Core Competencies • AI strategy and vision — able to chart the technical direction for the practice's AI capabilities and anticipate where the field is heading • Leads through expertise — drives adoption of AI standards and frameworks across the team through credibility and influence • Strong stakeholder engagement — translates complex AI concepts for non-technical senior audiences and earns organizational trust in AI initiatives • Broad mentoring capability — develops junior and mid-level practitioners on AI through structured guidance and active project involvement • Deep commitment to responsible AI — upholds rigorous standards for bias assessment, model governance, and ethical deployment across all practice AI work Why Join Teknosys?
