The Practice Lead is a senior role responsible for building, scaling, and institutionalizing the organization’s AI and Data Science capabilities. This role requires a strong blend of strategic vision, people leadership, delivery excellence, and governance to establish Data Science/AI as a core business enabler. The Practice Lead will define the long-term AI vision and translate it into a practical, execution-driven roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes. The role focuses on creating a high-impact practice that balances innovation with reliability, enabling both rapid experimentation and production-grade deployments. A critical component of this role is people leadership. The Practice Lead is responsible for building and nurturing a diverse, high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI specialists, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent. The role requires fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and ethical AI development, while establishing clear career paths, competency frameworks, and performance standards. The Practice Lead will also establish and enforce best practices across the AI/ML lifecycle, ensuring consistency, scalability, and governance. This includes standardizing processes for data management, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring, along with driving adoption of MLOps practices such as CI/CD for ML, automated testing, and model lifecycle management. Ensuring model explainability, fairness, security, and compliance is a key responsibility. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, the Practice Lead ensures that AI initiatives are problem-driven, ROI-focused, and scalable, integrating seamlessly into enterprise systems. · Define and drive the AI and Data Science strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable business outcomes · Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI use cases that create tangible business value · Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI specialists · Establish and scale a structured Data Science/AI practice, including operating model, standards, and governance frameworks · Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and production readiness · Implement and enforce best practices across the AI/ML lifecycle, including MLOps, model monitoring, and continuous improvement · Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating business challenges into AI-driven solutions · Ensure responsible and ethical AI practices, including data privacy, model explainability, and regulatory compliance · Guide the selection and adoption of AI technologies, platforms, and architectures aligned with enterprise strategy · Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field · 8+ years of experience in AI/ML/Data Science, with 4+ years in leadership roles · Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions · Strong expertise in ML, Deep Learning, NLP, and/or Generative AI · Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices · Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, including mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative culture · Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Behavioral & Core Competencies · Strategic thinking and vision · Leadership and team building · Strong business and technical acumen · Innovation and problem-solving mindset .
