Preferred locations are Sydney or Newcastle, although there is the potential for this role to be based in other parts of NSW as well. WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• We are seeking a respected technical leader with:
• A degree in ecology, environmental science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in ecological consulting, project delivery and team leadership
• Proven experience in managing technical projects and professional services teams
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record in business development and client engagement
• Ability to navigate complexity, solve problems and deliver innovative, commercially viable solutions

As Practice Leader – Ecology, you will lead our talented ecology team, delivering meaningful environmental outcomes for clients while guiding the team’s strategic and commercial growth.

This is a hands-on role, where you will:

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of ecological professionals
• Develop and implement business development and growth strategies
• Drive delivery of significant projects and multidisciplinary programs
• Provide high-level ecological expertise, reporting, and advisory support
• Engage with clients, regulators and community stakeholders to communicate science and deliver value
• Collaborate across RPS teams to capitalise on inter-disciplinary opportunities
