Description We're looking for a bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Practice Manager to our Ophthalmology team in the Tampa/Brandon area where the ideal candidate has strong management skills, experience in supporting the patient flow and understands the big picture. Requirements The Practice Manager manages the patient experience at assigned practice(s). Responsible for overall effective performance of practice including management of staff, workflow development, patient schedule management, provider and staff engagement, patient experience, financial performance and billing compliance. This position is responsible for the recruitment, development and supervision of staff. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes teamwork. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Plan, develop, organize, implement and direct the day-to-day functions of the clinics and its programs and activities to insure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction Develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and performing daily/ monthly financial management duties in conjunction with the Finance team. Manage staff performance including supervising, coaching/counseling front office and clinical staff daily and interviewing, hiring, and training new staff Review the practice’s policies and procedures to make recommendations for continued compliance/current regulations and interpret policies/procedures to employees, patients, family members, government agencies, etc. Address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients and seek out appropriate leaders or partners to problem solve and process improve Work with Providers and staff to ensure schedules are maximized for efficiencies and physician productivity on a daily basis Work in conjunction with the various corporate departments (HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.) Supervisory Responsibility: Position reports to Director Clinical Operations Manages team of supervisors, technicians and other clinic roles. Position/Type/ Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Potential for evening and weekend hours as required. Travel: Travel will be required between multiple locations throughout Hillsborough county to support the team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish - Required - must be able to speak, read and write fluently in both languages 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in management roles in Health Care or Ophthalmology Skills and Abilities: Medicaid and other third-party payor reimbursement guidelines and requirements Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate vision and leadership to employees and physician partners Strong negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively influence change Analytical skills to interpret financial data and make recommendations to fully capitalize on available opportunities Highly organized with developed time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in computer programs such as EMRs, Word, Excel Ability to: Lead a healthcare team at every level in the office from front desk to clinical to physician Communicate vision and empower future growth Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 401k and match PTO 8 Paid Holidays Scrub Reimbursement Program COA/COT Sponsorship and renewal reimbursement
