Could you be who we're looking for?  This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Connected Families in Partnership team as the Domestic Abuse Practice Manager. The CFIP team offers direct support to families experiencing domestic abuse and more broadly the 3 CFIP services (focussing on Domestic Abuse, Substance Misuse and Mental Health) enable families to access meaningful, targeted and timely support at the earliest opportunity, working alongside Children’s Social Care and Early help teams.  As the Practice Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a team of practitioners who are working with parents/carers, providing safety planning and intervention directly to those experiencing or causing harm.  Applicants will need to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of domestic abuse and have skills/experience that would enable the effective management of the team and service delivery.    We are looking for candidates who have * Relevant professional qualification in an area of social work, nursing, probation, psychology or other expertise relevant to the service area and registered with a professional regulatory body as appropriate. * Evidence of continual professional development in working with domestic abuse or relevant expertise. * Ability to provide expert practice consultation and promote respect for social work professional authority and expertise. * Ability to manage risk and support professional decision making in your service area * Ability to communicate effectively in highly charged, complex and challenging circumstances to support professional decision making.
