We’re looking for a Social Work Practice Manager to lead, inspire, and support a dedicated team delivering high-quality social work services for children and families. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team at the forefront of the Family First reforms, piloting the new Family Help approach by integrating early help with statutory social work support. You will work closely alongside Early Help managers and keyworkers as part of the Eastbourne area pilot, helping shape county-wide implementation from January 2027. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to motivate others, promoting a values-based approach that achieves positive outcomes for children and families. As Practice Manager, you’ll also be responsible for overseeing performance, quality assurance, budgets, and resources, all while making sure the service meets organisational standards and priorities. A key part of the role is monitoring and improving the quality of practice through regular case audits and reviews, while also supporting the development of students, newly qualified social workers including those undertaking the ASYE programme, and experienced practitioners. By creating a supportive and learning-focused environment, you will help your team grow and perform to their best.
