Requirements:

  • Ideally at least five years’ experience in Practice Management (office management/ administrative management considered) ideally in a primary health/ mental health environment.
  • Experience with Primary Health Care Accreditation processes (AGPAL or GPA).
  • Knowledge of Medicare compliance, MBS items codes and billing systems.
  • Experience managing staff including providing supervision, performance reviews and performance management.
  • Excellent organisations skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and manage communications and information for staff.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with experience in managing GP practice software for appointment management and skill in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to maintain a calm, pleasant and respectful manner.
  • The ability to deal with a diverse range of people with respect and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, solve problems and seek counsel where appropriate.
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearanc
Responsibilities

In this role you will provide practice management support to the Medicare Mental Health Centres, and management team to deliver and operate mental health services.

You will also:

  • Oversee and support a wide range of administrative tasks, including management of Medical Receptionists/ Admin, appointment systems, billing and medical records, onboarding and management of practitioners.
  • Drive the accreditation process as well as other audit processes that are specific to Medicare Mental Health Centres.
  • Work across multiple electronic medical systems.
  • Based predominantly at MMHC Dubbo but with regular travel to the Bathurst-based site (mileage allowance on offer to cover travel expenses).
