Montague Road Medical Centre is an inner-city busy practice and aims to make a real difference in the lives of the patients we treat and are passionate about supporting our quickly growing patient base. We treat a wide range of patients from nearby suburbs and do bulk billing for majority of our patients.
The role and function of the Practice Manager is to oversee the efficient and effective management of day-to-day operations of clinic. The Practice Manager will ensure the highest standards of customer service and support to doctors and staff are achieved.

Primary Tasks are, but not limited to:

  • Appointment book management
  • Managing Rosters, Leave and Training
  • Recruitment, development and management of clinic staff to ensure high performance and continuing professional improvement.
  • Payroll
  • Overseeing reception and the smooth running of the practice
  • Administration support to the Owner and GPs and Allied Health Professionals
  • Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Processing Medicare, NDIS, Workcover, Third Party Insurance Claims and Private Clients.
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Ordering Stock/Stationary
  • Have a sound understanding of GP clinic functions.
  • Be able to support and work alongside our GPs.
  • Assist with Accreditation of clinic.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experienced Practice Manager in Medical Centre and/or Allied Health Clinic
  • Mature and Professional outlook
  • Proficient in word, excel and professional software
  • Account Management Experience
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment
  • Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
