OVERVIEW

This is a thrilling time for a forward thinking and motivated Practice Manager to join our friendly and supportive team at Pelham Medical Practice. We are a well-established teaching and training practice providing GP services to over 15,500 patients. Pelham is the lead Practice within our PCN Gravesend Central and we have 4 GP Partners, supported by 3 salaried GPs and experienced Nursing and ARRS teams. The practice currently operate across two sites within Gravesend which both benefit from ample free parking. However, with the practice list continuing to grow we have some exciting expansion plans with planning permission approved to build a new purpose built three story medical centre which will include 22 clinical rooms that will allow us to expand and improve our service.
We are looking for a Practice Manager to manage the operational aspects and work with the partners to ensure the continued smooth, efficient and profitable running of the practice, and maintaining a safe, happy and committed team. Ensuring performance and quality standards within the Practice remain high. To provide a supportive environment that allows continual improvement of standards across clinical and administrative activities.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills, be team focussed, compassionate and will foster excellent team-working. They will share our values and have an inclusive approach, coaching and developing the team, whilst also supporting and prioritising patient care.
Due to the varied nature of the role, we are looking for someone who has a hands-on approach and is confident in dealing with both operational, finance and strategic issues. We are ideally looking for someone who can demonstrate good HR and payroll knowledge as well as good IT skills.

SKILLS

  • Proven management and supervising experience is essential.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in financial management practices relevant to running a successful business.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes including payroll, hiring, training, and employee development.

Responsibilities
  • Manager the day-to-day operational management of the practice.
  • Handle human resources responsibilities and processes such as recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
  • Manage and supervise the practice staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage financial processes, including payroll, invoicing and budget monitoring
  • Responsible for facilities management
  • Maintain compliance with CQC, GDPR, NHS and other statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Manage and actively contribute to service improvement, patient engagement and practice development projects.
  • Manage and maintain policies, carry out audits and manage preparedness and preparation for inspections.
