Practice Manager Eastbourne-
This role is for our lovely practice in Eastbourne where we are seeking a Practice Manager for the site.

Job Role

  • Ensure the efficient day to day management of the practice.

Personnel

  • Take line management responsibility for dental receptionist and dental nurses including responsibility for motivation, objective setting, and appraisals.
  • Arrange for and undertake the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary staff.
  • Arrange staff inductions and training. Ensure all documents are in place before they start. Obtain 2 references from previous employment.
  • When required deal with disciplinary and grievance arrangements.
  • Report sickness of staff to HR department.
  • Keep a record of and approve holiday requests.
  • Organise, attend, and participate in practice meetings. Make sure notes are taken and kept on file.
  • Complete leaver form when resignation is received and make sure staff hand back company items.
  • Complete relevant risk assessments.
  • Ensure site is clean, tidy and CQC compliant.
  • Get authorisation for contract amendments.
  • Ensure staff are keeping up to date with their CPD.
  • Ensure rotas are completed in advance of the week and timesheets completed.

Finance

  • Take responsibility for all cash transactions, end of day cashing up and banking.

Patients

  • Ensure the operation of the patient recall system.
  • Ensure the operation of the practice complaints procedure.
  • Deal with patient queries.
  • Keep the practice leaflet and other patient communications up to date.

Administration

  • Keep all practice documentation up to date, including policies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the practice computer system and make sure it is all backed up.
  • Deal with email account.
  • Ensure that there is an efficient stock control and supply procedure.
  • Ensure practice compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that practice equipment is serviced and maintained.

Other Duties

  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice.
  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

Job Type: Full-time
