Key Responsibilities: Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in line with national and local guidelines. Deliver long-term condition management, particularly in respiratory and diabetes care. Perform cervical screening, baby and adult immunisations, and wound care. Support and advise patients in areas such as lifestyle, health promotion, and disease prevention, with a particular focus on cardiovascular health.
Act as a mentor and support to Trainee Nursing Associates and Nursing Associates. Contribute to the achievement of QOF, enhanced services, and practice targets. Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, the wider nursing team, and practice administration.
Take part in regular nursing team meetings, appraisals, and ongoing professional development. If qualified, act as an independent prescriber; if not yet qualified, be willing to complete the prescribing course with practice support. Contribute to the ongoing development of services in response to patient needs and practice priorities. Additional desirable duties (depending on skills): Provide specialist womens health services such as LARC fitting or removal
