JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent nursing qualification with valid registration.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential.
  • Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Administer vaccinations, child immunisations, wound dressing, smear test, travel vaccination, diabetes review, asthma/COPD review, NHS health check, pill check, blood pressure management, venepuncture and stitch/stitches removal.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Assist in minor procedures and wound care management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Infection control management.
