Main duties of the job
-Delivering general practice nursing to the whole practice population
- Managing chronic disease clinics, immunisations, cervical screening, and health promotion
- Ensuring compliance with infection control, cold chain, stock management, and clinical governance
- Leading audits and supporting clinical risk management
- Collaborating with the wider team to support policy implementation and service development
- Providing nurse leadership and mentoring within the nursing and HCA team

The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the whole practice population. They will be part of the nursing team in supporting to manage all the nursing resources, working closely with the GPs and practice manager to deliver the practice priorities. Clinically, the focus of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients with acute and chronic conditions and management and preventative nursing interventions to all patients. You will work collaboratively with the whole general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery and procedures.
You will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.
