Job Summary The Practice Patient Services Representative is responsible for greeting, assisting and directing patients and their families through the appointment check in process. Assists with appointment scheduling, confirmations and ensures thorough and complete information is obtained to facilitate the appointment process. Interacts with providers, practice staff, and billing representatives. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for superior customer service. Pay Range Minimum $19.93 Midpoint $26.42 Maximum $32.88 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Position Details: This is a part time position that will work 32hrs per week at our SOCPA practice in San Clemente, CA. The ideal candidate will be okay working occasional shifts at any of our SOCPA locations (Irvine, Ladera Ranch, Lake Forest, & Rancho Santa Margarita). Experience * Required: Minimum of six (6) months of customer service, clerical or front office experience. * Preferred: Experience in a medical practice, clinic or office setting. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems (scheduling/billing). Education * Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent. * Preferred: Some post High School education, to include Medical Office courses. Specialized Skills * Required: Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle interruptions in work-tasks due to greeting people and answering multi-phone lines. Excellent interpersonal skills, judgement with the ability to work harmoniously with others. * Preferred: Medical terminology knowledge such as CPT & ICD10 coding. Bilingual in English/ Spanish or English/Vietnamese. Knowledge of scheduling software products and processes.
