Day Kimball Health is hiring a Pre-Admission Testing Admin. Coordinator for the ACU Department!   Location: Putnam, CT Shift: Day Shift, 32 Hours   Pre-Admission Testing Admin. Coordinator Job Summary   Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.  Possesses ability to assess data and communicate the appropriate information needed to Registered Nurse. Consistently seeks ongoing education and training. Collaborates with Registered Nurse on health coordination, case finding and referral. Works closely with physician offices to facilitate the flow of pre-operative patients through DKH’s system. Arranges for the efficient and timely pre-admission testing required for individual patients prior to surgery per Anesthesia protocol. Insures that patient data, information and necessary medical information/forms are collected, evaluated, and reviewed for completion.   Pre-Admission Testing Admin. Coordinator Key Responsibilities * Receives, records and tracks OR Booking Slips for all patients scheduled for surgery. Ensures timely receipt of medical H+P if necessary * Directs PAT Administrative Coordinator with daily clerical duties to ensure flow of department and accuracy. * Demonstrates accurate technical skill and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedure. * Insures completion of medical record with patient’s pre-admission testing reports, H+Ps, medical clearance if applicable, and consents prior to submitting medical record to Anesthesia for disposition. Pre-Admission Testing Admin. Coordinator Required Skills and Qualifications Education:   * Medical terminology required. * Meets education in-service requirements. * EKG Technician and Phlebotomy Technician training required * CNA certification required.
