As a Specimen Management Associate 2, you will ensure accurate receipt, storage, shipment, and tracking of clinical specimens while supporting quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Accession, label, store, and ship clinical samples with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain inventory and freezer organization for specimen integrity
• Identify and escalate errors or potential processing problems
• Support onboarding and training of entry-level staff
• Respond to operational alarms and other time-sensitive functions
• Receive and manage compounds and control materials as applicable
• Promote safety, quality assurance, and 6S compliance throughout the lab
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve routine operational issues
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across teams
• Familiarity with inventory, labeling systems, and regulatory compliance
