Concept Engineering Services are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Assistant to support our growing Pre-Construction Team
Concept Engineering Services are a Bristol based Building Services Contractor who specialise in the delivery of Mechanical Services within the Industrial, Commercial and Residential construction market. We are a young, ambitious and growing business who are dedicated to designing and delivering better buildings.
This is a rare and unique entry-level role where the successful candidate will provide crucial pre-construction and design support during the initial stages of our projects. You will report directly to our Pre-Construction & Design Manager where you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pre-construction and design process within the built environment, setting the stage for a successful career in the Construction Industry.
The role is largely office based, however will require frequent external meetings

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Tender Support: Assist in preparing and submitting accurate tender and bid documentation.
  • Estimating Assistance: Support the estimating team with quantity take-offs, organising subcontractor pricing, and gathering project data.
  • Document Control: Manage and maintain an organised system for all project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and technical submissions.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring a smooth flow of information.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and attend pre-construction meetings, capture meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Drawing: Prepare and modify both installation and design drawings to suit the requirements of the project through use of AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Building Services Engineering or be working towards a relevant qualification.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Great work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
  • A highly proactive approach and a strong desire to learn and contribute.
  • An understanding of construction processes and technical drawings is a plus.
