Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities

The Pre-Construction Project Manager will manage outside consultants to achieve design deliverable milestones.

  • Read, review, interpret and comprehend designs provided by project design team
  • Responsible for the construction and rehabilitation project designs for various clients
  • Work on projects that are budget and deadline driven and require extensive knowledge of building and fire codes, architectural standards
  • Supervise and review specifications and drawings as submitted by Architects and design personnel
  • Review technical work of consultants
  • Reviewing for constructability
  • Review construction estimates
  • Working with engineering consultants, and coordinating documents with MEP, Civil and Structural drawings
  • Confer with client agencies and contractors
  • Supervise consultant work
  • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
  • Coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Ability to understand, review and approve design work
  • Experience coordinating with designers handling any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a role of Assistant Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents
  • Full knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application
