Current Rate of Pay: Min $26.35- Max $27.21
Current Shifts: Primarily Days, Monday-Friday-8hrs

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pre-Op Assessment Clinic Clerk provides clerical duties that are essential to the efficient patient flow in the Pre-Op Clinic. Duties include registering patients, collecting data for patient identification and billing, patient scheduling, chart preparation for surgical procedures and responding to patient inquiries. The Pre-Op Assessment Clinic assists anesthetists with booking tests, obtaining information from medical facilities, etc. and assists in the overall coordination of the efficient and effective operation of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Medical Office Administration Program certificate and/or recent related medical office experience
  • Recent Patient Registration and Meditech Order Entry experience
  • Community Wide Scheduling and PICIS Applications experience preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills with 45 wpm keyboarding
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Demonstrated organization and record keeping skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
