We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Sales Manager to oversee the buying and selling of used cars, utilizing auctions and wholesalers to stock our lot with an impressive selection of pre-owned vehicles. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and other sources to acquire a diverse and high-quality inventory of used cars. Attend online auctions and negotiate favorable deals to enhance our dealership's used car inventory. Strategically plan and manage the stocking of our used car lot to ensure a well-rounded selection that meets customer preferences and market demands. Implement effective merchandising strategies to present vehicles in an appealing manner and maximize sales potential. Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles to ensure they meet our dealership's quality standards before being added to the inventory. Collaborate with the service department to address and resolve any issues related to the condition of used cars. Work closely with the sales team to provide training and guidance on features, benefits, and selling points of used vehicles. Support the sales team in closing deals, overcoming objections, and meeting sales targets. Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and competition to make informed decisions on inventory acquisition and pricing strategies. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the used car department. Qualifications: * Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive sales, with a focus on used car management. * Ability to use software and data to make responsible decisions regarding vehicle turn rates. * Proven track record of success in acquiring and selling used cars through auctions and wholesalers. * Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. * Excellent knowledge of the automotive market and trends. * Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and guide a sales team. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
