Advance Paper Box Ltd is looking for a Pre-Press Technician to join our team, who will be responsible for interacting with clients as well as the internal production team to ensure customer satisfaction and standard quality is achieved at all times.
Advance Paper Box is a fully integrated folding carton manufacturing facility, including design, die making, printing, die-cutting, and gluing. Our customers range from food and pharmaceutical manufacturers to computer software and automotive supply companies. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to work on design software’s including but not limited to Adobe Suite, Adobe Illustrator, ERP, Photoshop, and communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree from accredited two-year college or technical school is required.
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in graphic arts/printing.
  • Must have hands-on knowledge of prepress software applications including Illustrator, Photoshop, trapping, Macintosh, and file management.
  • Previous experience working on Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and able to communicate effectively with the clients.
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers.
  • Must be proficient in using pre-press operating platform.
  • Must be able to learn new technology, including new/updated software and hardware.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare an electronic file for proofing for the printing department.
  • Receive files from clients, check to see if the cartons fold properly, and ensure the color codes are correct as per specifications.
  • Interacting with clients and updating files as needed to send out hard copy proofs.
  • Responsible for burning plates for print jobs as per production needs.
  • Liaise with printing department to update information on ERP as requried.
  • Communicating effectively with Structural Design team and CSR team to ensure all details are accurate before the production runs.
  • Adheres to quality control procedures.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
