Job Title: Pre-Sales Engineer
Department: Sales – Technical Pre-Sales
Reports To: Vice President of Pre-Sales
Location: NJ, GA – Hybrid or Remote

Role Overview:
The Pre-Sales Engineer serves as a technical lead supporting Future Technologies’ enterprise sales efforts across Private and Public 5G/4G networks, Cellular WAN solutions, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), and SD-WAN deployments. This role partners closely with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic customer engagements, acting as a trusted advisor throughout complex sales cycles.

Measures of Success (KPIs):

  • Build and maintain a Target Logo list (Transportation, Energy, Utility, Manufacturing); track in Salesforce.
  • Conduct joint meetings with target accounts; support Living Lab tours.
  • Contribute to building an open pipeline of $3M by YE 2026, with quarterly targets starting Q4 2025.Execute Proof of Value (PoV) engagements:
  • $250K in PoV closed value (with at least 50% leveraging One Layer integrations).Support closed deals:
  • $1M in revenue, tracked in Salesforce.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction, renewals, upsell, cross-sell rates.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical presentations, solution architecture, and preliminary designs.
  • Translate customer needs into Cellular WAN, Private 5G, SD-WAN, networking, and One Layer-integrated solutions.
  • Manage OEM, carrier, and One Layer relationships; provide technical/market feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering/PMO teams and One Layer for handoffs and joint delivery.
  • Develop technical collateral and demos (including One Layer solutions).
  • Provide reports and track competitive intelligence.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Pre-Sales experience in telecom, wireless, or networking.
  • Core Technologies: Cellular WAN, Private/Public 5G/4G, SD-WAN, FWA, networking, information security, and One Layer solutions.
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in remote/hybrid environments.
