Due to internal career progression, the role of Pre-Sales Engineer has become available within the Engineering Team in the Critical Power (UPS) projects division at Socomec Australia.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A trade qualification or Bachelor’s degree in an electrical and electronics related field.
  • 5 years of experience in estimating and tender documentation management.
  • Experience in the electrical projects industry and knowledge of electrical specifications, drawings, single line diagrams.
  • Ideally experience in uninterruptable power supplies UPS and battery systems is preferred.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and external stakeholders while building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and ambition to grow own career and pre-sales business function.

Responsibilities
  • Review of technical project tender documentation for the development of solutions specifically tailored to client bid requirements
  • Preparation of quotations and related documents including project drawings, supporting technical documents and tender technical submittals
  • Collaboration with our Critical Power sales team to develop site specific requirements for new client installs, replacements and other technical assistance as required
  • Site Visits with the sales team for technical assistance and quote development
  • Utilisation of our CRM system, quotation tools and internal factory technical support portal
  • Engagement with local suppliers on products required to support the offer, ensuring products meet both technical requirements and target pricing while building and maintaining strong relationships
