Job Description As a Business Value Engineer (Pre-Sales Engineer), you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective clients through their journey from initial interest to successful pilot execution. Acting as a strategic co-pilot alongside our Account Executive and Solution Engineers teams, you’ll help shape compelling use cases, define success metrics, and demonstrate the functional value of our solutions. Your insights will directly influence customer confidence and long-term satisfaction. Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers to ensure the success of pilot engagements, aligning technical capabilities with business needs. Engage with customers to uncover pain points, goals, and strategic priorities. Translate these into actionable use cases that showcase the value of our solution. Work with stakeholders to define measurable success criteria that guide pilot outcomes and future deployment decisions. Contribute to the preparation and response of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP), ensuring alignment with customer expectations and solution capabilities. Deliver tailored demonstrations that highlight the functional value of our platform, addressing specific customer challenges and goals. Ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to deployment by documenting use cases, success metrics, and pilot learnings for implementation teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Fluent in Italian and English (The recruiter does not speak Italian) 3+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales roles Proven ability to translate business challenges into technical use cases Strong understanding of RFI/RFP processes and proposal development Analytic skills to build and present a financial business case Experience working with Solution Engineers or technical teams in pilot engagements Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to define and track success metrics for customer engagements Familiarity with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or digital transformation initiatives Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-centric mindset Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments Retail Industry knowledge is a plu Additional Information We feel supported.
