PRE-SALES REPRESENTATIVE JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: As a Pre-Sales Representative, your basic job standard is to achieve your route’s share of the marketing objectives as set forth by your Team Leader and Sales Manager. This will be achieved by selling, merchandising, and servicing Anheuser-Busch and our other products to customers assigned to you by the Sales Manager and Team Leader. Assigned Tasks: 1. Develop Existing Accounts 1.  in and execute all authorized promotions. 2. Solicit the placement of Anheuser-Busch and other suppliers’ permanent and paper 3. P.O.S. materials. 4. Sell in sufficient products to each account to prevent out of stocks or weekend deliveries. 5. Look for new opportunities on a daily basis to improve distribution, sales, and service. 2. Open New Accounts 1. Identify and solicit all lost, inactive, or potential new accounts in the assigned route territory. 2. Notify immediate supervisor of new account opportunities. 3. Complete proper paperwork to merge existing sales in a location with new owners. 3. Merchandising 1. Strive to dominate the competition with all forms of available point-of-sale. 2. Monitor all products in the market in each account and track / communicate any slow selling products to faster moving accounts. 3. Apply all specified theme point-of-sale material. 4. Assist in building, merchandising and maintaining all primary and secondary displays according to the needs of each of your accounts to ensure that you achieve the #1 position. 4. Servicing 1. Face all product labels visible to the consumer at each account. 2. Sale sufficient product to each account assigned. 3. Call on assigned accounts as scheduled and keep office informed on changes.  4. Create, develop, and maintain goodwill in assigned accounts. 5. Monitor a neat backroom stock. 6. Honor all business commitments on time. 7. Service customer requests daily and inform supervisor if unreasonable. 8. Assist with “on call” weekend deliveries, pull-up, and special events as requested. 9. Responsible for assigning pulling-up for route accounts on all major holidays. Key Responsibilities: 1. Attend company meetings as requested. 2. Provide sales forecasts on promotional items as requested. 3. Report for work in proper attire. 4. Drive assigned vehicle safely and maintain a safe driving record. 5. Report any accident immediately with proper documentation. 6. Assume responsibility for any careless damage to company property immediately. 7. Keep the assigned vehicle neat and clean, inside and out, on a daily basis. 8. Maintain accurate records and process all orders, reports and forms as required. 9. Notify management of any route opportunities to provide the best possible service. 10. Report all competitive activities as discovered immediately. 11. Follow safety practices as required by company policies. 12. Follow Mitchell Companies policies and procedures. 13. Always speak positively about all company matters including, but not limited to, products, policies, fellow employees, and other customers. 14. Complete all display tracking information each week. Requirements: * Must be self-motivated and results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills * Must have High School Diploma; College Degree preferred or related experience * Must have 3-5 years industry related sales experience in the beverage industry, with supplier or wholesaler experience preferred * Must have strong customer service and time-management skills * Must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds * Must understand basic financial metrics such as gross profit and days' supply * Must be able to work independently or with a team under pressure while meeting sales targets * Must pay attention to detail, have strong analytical skills, and be deadline driven.
