Job Description About the Role The way digital products get built is changing fast. AI assisted development, agentic systems, and shifting client expectations are reshaping what good looks like - in how we estimate, how we architect, and how we pitch. We're looking for a Solution Engineer to join us through that shift. This role sits between sales, technology, and delivery. You'll help shape opportunities, design solutions, and win work across digital experiences, AI assisted build, and agentic AI. It's hands on and client facing. You will join a mature engineering, delivery, and sales team that already knows how to sell and deliver well as well as having the support of experienced engineers, delivery leads, and account teams. We're especially interested in experienced engineers, or people with strong engineering backgrounds who've moved into solutioning, estimating, or proposal work. If you've been the person translating messy client problems into costed, credible approaches, you'll recognise this role. Responsibilities Shape early client conversations into clear solution directions across web, mobile, cloud, integration, and AI. Lead technical discovery and workshops. Design solutions that are scalable, delivery ready, and commercially sound. Own the technical side of proposals: approach, scope, assumptions, risks, and estimates. Present in pitches and orals with confidence. Qualify deals. Help us decide where we're well positioned to win and how we differentiate. Hand off cleanly into delivery with scope and guardrails that reduce rework. Work with the wider team to evolve our reusable assets (estimation models, reference architectures, proposal patterns) as AI assisted delivery reshapes them. Qualifications What we're looking for A background in software engineering, with recent experience in pre-sales, solution design, estimating, or proposal work. Broad technical fluency across web, mobile, cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, and modern architecture patterns. Working knowledge of how AI assisted development and agentic AI are changing solution design, estimation, and delivery shape. Strong written communication. You can write a proposal that reads well and holds up under scrutiny. Pragmatic and collaborative. Comfortable with ambiguity and commercial trade offs. Consulting or agency experience. Nice to have Exposure to enterprise security or compliance. Experience with pricing and commercial modelling.
