Ready Steady Go Kids is a multi-sport & exercise program for pre-schoolers aged 1.5-6 year olds. Across over 180 locations, the program has been designed by a paediatric Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist which ensures an evidence-based foundation.
From our program, they can encompass a basic understanding of a variety of sports including Tennis, Hockey, Basketball, Athletics, Soccer, AFL, Rugby, T-ball, Golf and Cricket. It is a great way for kids to learn the concept of sportsmanship, boost school readiness skills, develop gross motor skills, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Ready Steady Go Kids (Southwest) are looking for outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic sports coaches. If you are passionate about sport & children’s development YOU could be our next Super Coach! To join our team, we coach classes across the following suburbs:

  • Carnes Hill
  • Edmondson Park
  • Wetherill Park
  • Cecil Hills

To succeed at this job - you MUST be able to roar like a tiger, fly like a fairy and stomp like a dinosaur. Your ability to sing loud and proud is also a bonus (it doesn’t have to be in tune)!

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Coaching Level 2 will be required - but can be completed upon starting
  • Working with Children Check (PAID Certificate) will be required.
  • Any experience working with kids will be favourably regarded.
  • Any coaching experience will be favourably regarded.
  • You must love sports, have an energetic personality, and be physically fit.
Responsibilities
  • MUST be available on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
  • Delivery of the Ready Steady Go Kids program within 30-45 minute classes, accompanied by an additional coach.
  • Teaching and guiding children across a 10-week term with 5 different sports.
  • Enthusiastic interactions with children aged 1.5 – 6 years old that are imagination-driven.
  • Genuine interactions with parents or caregivers
  • Encourage children to solve problems, cooperate, and think flexibly.
  • Demonstrating to children the benefits of warming up and stretching.
  • Playing games that are fun and interactive.
  • Ensuring successful time management to allow classes to run on schedule.
  • Setting up and packing up equipment before and after classes.
