You will lead engaging music-based activities for preschoolers, helping them explore singing, rhythm, movement, and instruments in a fun and nurturing environment.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children and has the musical ability to sing, accompany themselves on an instrument (piano, guitar, or ukulele), and introduce children to a variety of musical instruments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong background in music (ability to sing and accompany yourself required).
  • Proficiency on at least one accompanying instrument: piano, guitar, or ukulele (additional instruments are an asset).
  • Experience leading music activities for young children (preschool, daycare, camps, or similar).
  • Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Music Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior teaching or childcare experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily music and movement activities tailored to preschool-aged children.
  • Sing children’s songs and accompany yourself confidently on piano, guitar, or ukulele.
  • Introduce and demonstrate a variety of musical instruments to spark curiosity and exploration.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that combine early childhood education with musical learning.
  • Create a joyful, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages children’s creativity, self-expression, and love of music.
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through music and play-based activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive preschool program.
