Achievers Day Nursery is a purpose built nursery with facilities that create a stimulating environment for all children. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent standards of care and education, whilst encouraging good family values. We are looking to recruit experienced and motivated individuals.
The successful candidate will have worked in a supervisory role previously, preferably within a private nursery, being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of caring for 0- 5 years old’s. Further, the successful candidate will have experience leading and managing a team. Most importantly you will show a real passion for childcare, be self-driven and be able to contribute positively with original and creative ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of NVQ 3 in Childcare, or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a childcare environment, specifically in a private nursery (0-5years old)
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • A current first aid at work, safeguarding and food hygiene qualifications are desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of childcare and people management whilst also having an energetic and positive outlook
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Ensure the room to ensure high quality childcare and hygiene standards
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and room planning through the oversee, coordination and participation in activities
  • Responsible for ensuring comprehensive development records
  • Developing childcare practice with regard to SEN, behaviour management and inclusion
  • Ensure the effective implementation of Key Worker system
  • Responsible for performance management of team assigned
  • Support, supervise, motivate and give clear guidance to staff reports
  • Deputise for Deputy Manager as and when required.
