PRE SCHOOL ROOM LEADER

For over thirty years Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries have been working closely with
parents, staff and Ofsted to deliver childcare of the highest quality, providing children
with unlimited opportunities to learn, develop and grow within a safe, secure and caring
environment.
Monkey Puzzle Cambridge are looking to recruit a passionate qualified Level 3 or
above Pre School Room Leader.
We are an enthusiastic team with the welfare of children and the training and

PRE SCHOOL ROOM LEADER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

To be part of our family, we would like you to have:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a childcare role
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience of the EYFS and using it within a nursery setting
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and full of ideas to encourage learning and development
  • Reliable, available full time and with good references
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice,
    environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years

Foundation Stage

  • Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place and is accurately

maintained by the appropriate staff

  • Support the development of good practice in relation to special educational

needs and inclusion

  • Provide leadership and support to all toddler room based staff to enable them to

establish and maintain professional positive working relationships with both

colleagues, parents and carers

  • Deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained * Ensure the effective implementation of the company’s keyperson system and

allocate key children appropriately

  • Ensure that all children are kept safe and that staff are confident to follow

safeguarding procedures

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and health and safety throughout the nursery
