POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Pre-Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying insurance coverage for same-day and upcoming patient appointments. This role ensures eligibility and accuracy of insurance plans loaded in the system, and proactively reaches out to patients with terminated insurance to obtain updated coverage information.

• Verify insurance eligibility for scheduled and same-day appointments.
• Confirm that the correct insurance plans are loaded in the system.
• Contact patients with terminated or expired insurance to obtain current insurance information.
• Collaborate with front office and billing teams to ensure accurate patient insurance data.
• Maintain detailed records of verification activities.
• Communicate any insurance-related issues or discrepancies to the relevant team members.
