This tool includes features for generating shop drawings, plotting, revision handling, and automating routine tasks. Job Description: The Precast Detail Drafter will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate drawings for precast concrete elements. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, a strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings, and the ability to produce clear, comprehensive precast drawings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring all drawings meet the highest standards of accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Utilize AutoCAD to create 2D drawings for precast concrete projects. Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, ensuring a thorough understanding of design requirements. Develop detailed precast drawings, including: Marking plans and layouts Elevations Dowel and bracing plans Connection details Precast element shop drawings Ensure all drawings are clear, precise, and easy to understand for manufacturing and construction purposes. Pay close attention to detail to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet company standards. Perform self-checks and quality control reviews on all completed drawings. Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to resolve drawing-related issues. Provide efficient and practical solutions to design and detailing challenges. Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files. Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a strong focus on 2D drafting. Experience in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings, particularly for high-rise buildings. Familiarity with precast concrete design and detailing is highly desirable. High attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings. Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
