What this opportunity involves: JLL is seeking an experienced Precinct Finance Manager to lead financial reporting and management across our prestigious Barangaroo Precinct. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Finance Manager, you will be the financial cornerstone for a dynamic Precinct Management Team, delivering critical insights to building owners, management teams, and key stakeholders across commercial, retail, and residential assets. This role demands independence, precision, and commercial acumen. You will drive month-end reporting, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and compliance processes while providing strategic financial support to ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive month-end financial reporting for property owners and JLL, including general ledger reviews, GST reconciliations, journal entries, and corporate reporting requirements, Direct the annual budgeting process and coordinate quarterly reforecasts with Precinct Managers, organising stakeholder meetings and ensuring timely delivery of forecast packs Manage audit and tax compliance, responding to external auditor queries promptly and ensuring all regulatory obligations are met Prepare outgoings estimates, wash-ups, and audited operating expense statements in compliance with lease obligations and the Retail Shop Leases Act Develop and maintain capital expenditure schedules, partnering with Precinct Managers to recommend sinking fund contributions and manage purchase orders Review, update, and optimise the MRI accounting system, implementing effective accounting controls, procedures, and weekly reporting to support operational teams Provide financial education and support to the Precinct Management Team on accrual accounting, budget management, and financial analysis Act as primary financial liaison with Owners Corporation agents, building management teams, national staff, auditors, and other JLL business units Key Skills & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced certification such as CPA or CFA highly desirable) Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting within property management, real estate, or a related industry Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities Experience with property management accounting systems, particularly MRI (or similar platforms) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to building owners Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and independent work style combined with strong collaborative skills and a positive, client-focused approach What you can expect from us: Great employee discounts off fitness, wellbeing & other renowned bands Private Health Insurance Discounts Employee assistant program Novated Lease for EV cars Paid time off for volunteer work Career Opportunities with Australia's #1 Commercial Real Estate firm Premium offices About us: At JLL, we see a Brighter Way forward for our clients, our people, our planet, and our communities.
