ABOUT THE ROLE

Acadian Construction is seeking a Preconstruction & Business Development Manager to play a key role in building our presence in Halifax. This position combines relationship development with technical preconstruction expertise, ensuring Acadian is well-positioned to win and deliver projects in the commercial construction market.
We are looking for a construction professional, whether your background is in estimating, project management, or preconstruction, who can leverage technical knowledge and industry experience to build strong client connections. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities, shaping pursuits, and collaborating with the Regional Director and Estimating team to align strategy with execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Opportunity Development: Identify and pursue projects in commercial, office, mixed-use, and private development sectors.
  • Client & Partner Relationships: Build and maintain connections with developers, consultants, and industry stakeholders across Halifax.
  • Preconstruction Support: Collaborate with the Regional Director and Estimating team to prepare RFQs, proposals, and pursuit strategies.
  • Market Positioning: Represent Acadian at industry events, site visits, and community functions to strengthen brand presence.
  • Pipeline & Insights: Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, monitor local development activity, and provide market intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
