This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Preconstruction Project Coordinator based in Mexico. This role sits at the core of early-stage construction planning, where technical insight and coordination directly shape project success. You will support the full preconstruction lifecycle, from drawings review and scope definition to bidding and procurement coordination. Working closely with construction leadership, you will help ensure budgets, timelines, and trade scopes are accurate and well-aligned before execution begins. The position combines analytical work, stakeholder communication, and hands-on involvement with real project data and documentation. As trust builds, the role expands into broader project management support across active construction phases. It is a remote, fast-paced opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, structure, and technical problem-solving in construction environments. \n Accountabilities: Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings to identify coordination issues, missing information, scope gaps, and constructability risks. Prepare and structure trade-specific RFPs, bid packages, subcontractor scope sheets, and clear documentation for procurement processes. Source subcontractors and vendors, manage bid distribution, track follow-ups, and ensure timely submission of competitive proposals. Perform bid leveling, evaluate exclusions and qualifications, and support leadership with clear award recommendations. Support cost validation through market benchmarking, historical data, subcontractor input, and material pricing analysis. Identify value engineering opportunities that optimize cost, schedule, and execution feasibility without compromising quality. Draft RFIs and coordinate clarifications with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. Maintain structured documentation including budgets, procurement logs, risk registers, and handoff packages for field execution. As responsibilities expand, support active projects with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement tracking, and project controls. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in construction preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, or project management. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and multi-trade scopes of work. Proven experience preparing bid packages, performing scope analysis, and identifying coordination gaps. Knowledge of budgeting, procurement processes, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation workflows. Strong written communication skills for RFIs, reports, subcontractor communication, and leadership summaries. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying organized, responsive, and detail-oriented. Experience with construction tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or estimating platforms is a plus. Familiarity with commercial construction, tenant improvements, renovations, or ground-up projects is highly valued.
