JOB SUMMARY

NorCal Lumber is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time Prefab Wall Design position at one of our two locations, Sacramento or Marysville CA. We are looking for an experienced candidate with knowledge of Single & Multi Family residential design. The ideal candidate would have several years experience with MiTek design software and be able to work closely with our design & sales team to provide unrivalled customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years combined field construction & design experience.
  • Proficiency in design software including MiTek Sapphire, Excel, AutoCAD, & Bluebeam.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprints, architectural & structural drawings and the construction process.
  • Must be organized, professional, knowledgeable and maintain a positive & energetic attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sales oriented and ready to join a growing family-owned business!!
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Reading blueprints and modeling prefab walls within MiTek Sapphire.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications & scope of work.
  • Communicating with subs and tracking all RFI’s to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct both jobsite and video meetings to ensure customers expectations are understood & met.
  • Track submittal process start to finish & maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Coordinate design to align with jobsite delivery schedule.
  • Monitoring jobsite progress & resolving any issues that arise.
  • Track and prepare weekly updates to management team.
